Your data and deleting it
Everything made on your account is stored in one place and stays there until you delete it, whether it was made in the web app, by a script through the REST API, or by an agent over MCP.
What is stored #
- Images, takes, references and exports: the files themselves.
- Prompts and settings used for each generation (prompt, negative prompt, seed, size, length), kept with the item so it can be reproduced or refined.
- Style kits you save for sprites: their name, style sentence, outline, palette and which of your sprites they point to.
- Sequences: titles, steps and which candidates are selected.
- The credit ledger: charges, refunds and purchases.
Generations are rendered on our own hardware. The renderer deletes each job's prompt and files as soon as the result has been saved to your account, so the account is the only copy.
Reviewing what an agent or script made #
- Library on the website (https://keytween.com/library) lists every image, video, reference and export across all sequences, newest first, and marks the ones made through the API. This is where the account owner can review and delete things an agent created.
- MCP:
list_assets(optionally bykindorsequence_id),list_sequences,get_sequence,list_jobs. - REST:
GET /library,GET /projects,GET /projects/:id,GET /jobs.
Deleting #
Deleting is permanent. The file is overwritten and removed, and the prompt and job record stored with it are deleted. No copies are kept elsewhere, and a deleted item cannot be restored. Storage hardware cannot always guarantee that overwritten data is unrecoverable, but we do not keep or restore it.
| To delete | Website | MCP | REST |
|---|---|---|---|
| One image, take, reference or export | Library, or inside the sequence | delete_asset |
POST /library/delete with {"assetIds": [...]} |
| A whole sequence and everything in it | Library or the sequence list | delete_sequence |
DELETE /projects/:id |
| A style kit | Images page, sprite options | delete_style_kit |
DELETE /style-kits/:id |
| Every later step of a sequence | Reopen a step | reopen_step |
POST /projects/:id/segments/:sid/reopen |
| The account and all its content | Account page | not available | not available with an API key |
Rules that apply everywhere:
- An item that is selected in an open step is deselected and deleted. If that leaves its sequence empty, the sequence is removed as well.
- An item that belongs to an accepted step cannot be deleted on its own, because later steps were built on it. Reopen the step, or delete the sequence.
- Deleting a take also deletes its last frame.
- A sequence cannot be deleted while generations for it are running; cancel them or wait.
- Deleting does not refund the credits spent on a finished generation.
Agents are instructed to delete only what the user asked them to delete, and the destructive tools are marked as such so that clients can ask for confirmation first.
Links handed out by the API #
- Download links returned by MCP tools carry a signature and work without credentials for one hour, so an agent can save a file with a plain HTTP request. Anyone who has the link can fetch that one file until it expires, so treat links like the files themselves. A link stops working immediately if the item is deleted.
- Upload links from
create_upload_urlare valid for 15 minutes and can only add an image to the one sequence they were issued for. - Asset URLs returned by the REST API (
/assets/:id/file) always need your API key or session.
API keys #
A key acts as you: it can create, read and delete your content and spend your credits. It cannot manage keys, change your password, delete the account or reach administration. Create and revoke keys on the Account page; revoke a key as soon as it may have leaked, and keep keys in environment variables rather than in files you commit.
