Credits and pricing

Everything is paid per generation with prepaid credits. 1 credit = $0.01 (100 credits per dollar at the base rate).

Prices are exact and depend only on what you ask for, so a plan can be priced before anything is spent:

  • MCP: estimate_cost prices a list of planned generations and compares it with the balance; get_pricing returns this price list; get_account returns the balance.
  • REST: POST /jobs/quote with the same body as POST /jobs returns the cost without charging.

Images and edits #

Credits Draft (0.5 MP) Standard (1 MP) High (2 MP) Max (4 MP)

Images and edits are priced by GPU time, at the same rate as video: one credit per 10 seconds of estimated render time, rounded up, and never less than 1 credit. The estimate comes from measured render times, so the price is exact and known before you submit:

  • Render time grows a little faster than the pixel count, so larger images cost more. Edits take longer than text-to-image at the same size and go up to 2 MP.
  • Each reference mentioned in the prompt (up to 4) adds a few seconds.
  • A negative prompt switches the standard model to a slower guided mode that roughly doubles the render time. Most prompts do not need one.
  • The pro image model takes several times longer than standard for finer detail and lettering, and costs the same with or without a negative prompt.

Video #

credits = ceil(6 + 0.9 × seconds × size factor)

The size factor is megapixels / 0.5, rounded to one decimal, and never below 1, so everything up to 0.5 megapixels costs the same. Text to video, image to video and first-and-last-frame cost the same. Sound and smoothing are included.

Length Draft (0.3 MP) Standard (0.5 MP) High (0.75 MP) Maximum (1 MP)
3.33 s 9 ($0.09) 9 ($0.09) 11 ($0.11) 12 ($0.12)
4.33 s 10 ($0.10) 10 ($0.10) 12 ($0.12) 14 ($0.14)
5 s 11 ($0.11) 11 ($0.11) 13 ($0.13) 15 ($0.15)
6.67 s 12 ($0.12) 12 ($0.12) 15 ($0.15) 18 ($0.18)
8.33 s 14 ($0.14) 14 ($0.14) not available not available
10 s 15 ($0.15) 15 ($0.15) not available not available

A typical shot built from scratch (one start image, one end-frame edit, one 4.33-second take at standard size) costs 1 + 1 + 10 credits. Budget for a second take on shots that matter.

Free #

Creating sequences, uploading images, adding and cropping references, selecting frames and takes, accepting steps, exporting a sequence to one video, previews and downloads.

When credits are charged and refunded #

  • A job is charged in full when it is accepted into the queue.
  • If it fails for any reason, or you cancel it while it is queued or running, the full amount is refunded automatically and immediately. The job reports refunded: true over MCP; the ledger shows the refund.
  • A finished generation is not refunded for being a poor result, so read the prompting guides and start with a draft size when exploring.
  • A call that returns before the job is done (because its wait time ran out) has not lost anything: the job continues and its credits stay reserved. Do not submit it again; wait for it.

Purchased credits themselves are non-refundable; see the terms of service.

Buying credits #

Credits are bought on the website at https://keytween.com/buy, by card or with Monero, from $5. Larger purchases get more credits per dollar:

Credits Card Monero Per credit (card)
1,000 $11.00 $10.00 $0.0110
2,700 $27.50 $25.00 $0.0102
6,900 $66.00 $60.00 $0.0096

Paying with Monero is 9% cheaper than the card price. API keys unlock after an account's first purchase. Agents cannot buy credits; when the balance is short, tools return insufficient_credits with the link to send the user to.

Quoting a user #

When acting for a user, say what the work will cost before starting it, in credits and dollars, and mention the balance. For example: "That is 3 shots: 1 image, 3 end-frame edits and 3 five-second clips, 41 credits ($0.41). You have 730 credits."
